Synching 2 Axims on one desktop computer

Hi everyone!

I have an Axim 5 (400 mhz) running PPC2002 and my hubby has one running PPC2003. We both want to sync to our home computer, but we don't both need all of the contacts.

I think I figured out that we can either be diligent about assigning categories and then only sync the categories we need, or we can set up individual profiles in Outlook and maintain separate calendars, contacts, tasks, etc. Anyone know if I'm right so far? Since we will have *some* appointments in common, I'm thinking it would be best to maintain only one Outlook file, both sync to that but only sync the categories we want, and learn to be diligent about assigning categories.

Is that clear as mud?

Anyone have a better idea?

Thanks!
Simi

You could be diligent and use categories. Or you could assign profiles in Outlook so that you and your hubby has separate Outlook data. Therefore you own data is sync'ed to your own Ax. I have not tried this personally but it should work.

Uh huh...

Yup, that's what I thought. Now we just have to decide which way to do it...I'm afraid one of us will make an appointment/date with someone and forget to tell the other and it won't get on both calendars and someone will be caught offguard...I hate it when that happens!

Perhaps we'll just have to learn to be diligent and use the same Outlook profile.

Thanks,
SImi
