Out of date appointments
Hi fellows, I am having problems when I synchronize with my computer, it tells me that there is a problem with the out of date appointments in outlook, and then I can’t sync anymore until I do a hard reset. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.:rolling:

I am not totally sure why this happens. Try deleting your partnership and letting AS recreate it when you try to sync. I have heard from some people that this has fixed their problem.

I'm on my PPC at the moment so I cannot search, but there's a file created by Resco Picture Viewer that causes this problem. A search for 'out of date' on AximSite should turn up the solution.

I found this:
http://www.ppczone.net/forum/showthread/t-113.html
It really works great! Note, I didn't perform the soft reset and it still worked for me.
Many of us with the new Dell Axim X5 have started getting an error message while syncing that says, "There was no response from your mobile device while checking for out-of-date appointments." We have tried updating bios, re- installing ActiveSync, hard re-sets, you name it!, to no avail. Recently we found the solution!! Somehow there is a confict with a file used by Resco Picture Viewer, which comes installed on the Axim X5, and ActiveSync. To fix the problem we had to do the following:
1) Remove the file named "picViewSync.dat" in the windows directory on the pocket PC
2) Perform a soft reset
3) Synchronize again
I did this and immediately was able to sync for the first time in over 2 weeks! Be aware, however, that you can still use Picture Viewer, but it will re-create the problem file again. If you start getting the error message again, you will have to delete the file again.
I hope that Resco's programers are monitoring this forum and are working on a patch or update. We love Picture Viewer and would like to be able to keep using it!

I have had this same problem at work for about a month now, and have been "pulling my hair out" trying to figure what was wrong! I deleted the offending file this evening and will do a soft reset and then try to sync with my work PC tomorrow. Hope it works!!

I've been using Resco Picture Viewer (Picture Viewer for Dell v4.11 - Retail Version) for over a year and I have never experienced this problem. Perhaps you need to upgrade your software?

I've had the same problem as mentioned in the other posts. Removing the Resco Picture Viewer file appears to correct the problem. Thanks!

I was having this problem, I had thought it was something to do with my wireless card (since taking out the card and doing a soft reset fixed the problem) but deleting that file fixed it, wooohooo, thanks!
