Already have ActiveSync -- reinstall for Axim?

I've got an HP Jornada 565 that I am synching with ActiveSync 3.6. I'm told that the Axim will need to have ActiveSync installed from its own CD so that it provides it with the proper drivers for the USB cradle. Do I actually need to remove the old ActiveSync (I'd like to continue to use it with its Jornada partnership for at least a while yet), or can I somehow just add the drivers the Axim needs?

What is the best way to handle this issue? Thanks.

No you will not have to do anything. You will need to get the USB drivers and install them when prompted. Those can be found here...

ftp://ftp.dell.com/Handheld/R55367.EXE

Install these drivers when windows asks you.

Thank you so much. When will I be asked for the drivers -- when Windows detects the new device?

Yep, when you plug the Axim into the USB port, windows will detect it and ask you for the drivers. Just point to the folder you extracted the files to.
