Wis bar problem

I seem to have a problem with wisbar locking up. This happens when active sync is running and the axim is turned off. When you power back up the task menu will not work. Is this a known issue or possible software conflicts.

Active Sync can't run with the Axim off ... by running I mean being connected to the PC. If you turn the unit off while docked, it breaks the connection.

What is a Task menu?

What I'm calling the task menu is the menu that pops up that tells you what is running, settings, ect. When this happens the only way out is a soft reset. This only happens when I'm connected to the PC and turn the Axim off and then back on. When I press the task menu button nothing happens and you cannot access the start menu.

Thanks
Sam

The Active Sync process is a bit different from some other apps in that turning off the Axim while docked will break the connection, while things like MS Reader will still be there through a shut down and power up.
If I leave my unit docked so long that it turns off, I have to reboot the PC before it will reconnect. There must be some funny behavior between the Axim and the USB driver.

Don't turn off the Axim while docked. Pull the usb plug if you want to terminate sync but keep charging.
Soft reseting is like rebooting your PC. It re-establishes all the running programs, like Wisbar, and if you've confused it somehow, stop doing whatever you did.

Thanks Mike
I thought that might be the deal. I can get around it by shuting down wisbar when connected. I seem to loss my sync every once in awhile and turning the Axim on and off is an easy way to resync.

Use Resync to avoid having to reboot. Works well and is free.
