DPAd / Scroller

Okay, been enjoying my axim for the last few hours... pocket pc is... better then i expected i guess...

Anyway.. i hate to bring this up, becaseu its been in the forums alot (i just cant find my answers) anyway...
In my home screen i can move around using the dpad and scroller thing..
but i cant actually run anything using them... i installed "R55367" but i think that may be only for A01 and i have a00
so i downloaded R55834 .. but i befafled how to use it :)

Any help?

Nothing to worry about, Jbit - you're experiencing a similar problem that I have, as well as what others have.

To install the update to set the middle button press on the "D-Pad" to action, run the EXE file you downloaded from the Dell site, which will extract to C:\Dell\Whatever

Once that is completed, browse to that directory (using My Computer or Windows Explorer) and locate the .CAB file (if you have "known filenames turned off", look for the "AximX5" file).

Copy this over, and then browse to your Axim (My Computer -> Mobile Device -> My Pocket PC) and paste the file there.

Once it is copied over, just open "File Explorer" from your Axim, browse to "My Device".

You should see the AximX5 file there - just click on it and you're good to go, the install will be complete once you've performed a soft restart (that little button right under the "Record" button which is below the scroll wheel/dial).

I'm begining to think that this is the wrong file :) (this is R55367.exe)

if this is wrong, can somebody give me a deep link to a dpad fix for an A00 (A04) axim? :)

Oh crap, never mind, works now :)
just used the R55834 patch (even though it says A01)... Maybe A01 means the release of the patch.... well its confusing...
But it works.. so i'm happy :)
(just dragged the cab over, and pressed it.. and vola...)

btw: is anybody else finding it easier to navigate using your fingers (on the screen) rather then the stylus...
(i'm glad i got some screen protecters, otherwise there would be finger prints all over my screen :)
