Mad Backup Battery low

I have had the X5 400mhz for about a year. In its ninth month I replaced the Backup battery, soft reset the device and on some occations it works well for me. However, most of the time, that annoying window comes up saying my backup battery is low. I have upgaded the ROM to the recomended A04. I have both cleaned the battery and the terminals inside the device. I have also adjusted the terminals to insure good contact to the battery. I apologize to Admin for startin a new thread on this but I have tried all of the "traditional" remedies that i have found through a search of the site. Is there anyone else out there with any advice.

What happens if you go to Start, Settings, Sounds & Notifications, Notifications, and select 'Low Battery Warning' from the drop-down menu at the top, then uncheck 'Play sound' and 'Display message on screen'?

Does that not get rid of it?

Are you sure that the new battery is not low??

Does it sometimes show 90% and sometimes show 0% or is it always 0%?

What happens if you insert a folded piece of paper under the battery door?

*The meter either reads 100% or 0 %.
* I just switched the notification off. perhaps that will do it. But the issue is when the Ax needs the backup battery will the power be there?
*I have tried The folded peice of paper remedy as well.

If it's flicking between 0 and 100 it sounds like a bad contact. Is it still in warranty? If you can't fix it with the piece of paper trick then I'd just send it back and get a replacement.

I have noticed that I get the low backup battery warning, with 0%, usually just after undocking from the cradle, or just after disconnecting the GPS/power cable in my car. I think somehow the power transfer from external through the connector to the battery is triggering the warning. I don't have any science behind that thought, but from the observation. I don't get the warning if I have the power into the coaxial socket on the bottom of the ax in either my car or the wall-wart mains unit. It only seems to occur when uncradling or disconnecting external power through the port. Is it me, or has anyone else seen this?
