Transferring MP3s from CF to SD is horribly slow.

I just wanted to put out there that when I transfer mp3 files from my dane-elec 320mb cf card to my sandisk 256mb sd card it is very slow. Wish it was faster. I guess the write speed of the axim to sd is not very good. Transfers to the ram or rom are fairly fast. Any thoughts?

I try to keep my music files under 5 meg per song, usually around 2-3 megs, transfers are naturally faster. Also I hate to say it but WMA files are clearer to me in the sub 5 meg catagories. HTH

i use a 6 in 1 card reader to transfer on the usb ports it's at least 50 time faster. Just get on ( i use pqi) for about 30 bucks and I transfer by drag and drop and play the music on pocket music, simple, fast, easy!

that is why you need to get a card reader. for me it took me like almost 5 minutes to transfer 2 mp3s to axim through the cradle. through the card reader it took me 4 minutes to transfer over 200 megs now that is a big difference. I even transfer files through my wireless connection and even that is faster then the cradle taking around a like 30 seconds to transferl 5 mp3s (around 15 megs). so trust me i am sure others as well would advise you get a card reader, they are cheap around 20 bucks or so.
