X5 in WRONG LANGUAGE HELP!

Tia for any replies on this, much appreciated.

I ordered an X5 from Dell's outlet before christmas, it was a gift for my brother. It arrived in time but it wasn't opened before christmas day. On christmas day, to our horror we discovered the Axim had Pocket PC 2003 Dutch-Belgian installed! Naturally the first thing i did was contact Dell's customer support, they knew about the problem and said they would send the english pocket pc 2003 upgrade cd and this would fix it.

So when the upgrade cd arrived i contacted Dell again becuase it would not install to the axim and they admitted that it would not work so they offered me a full refund, i took it but im still left with a fully working dutch-belgian X5. I have seen posts on the forum about boot-loaders for the X5 and ways to replace the rom but i was wondering if someone could tell me how i could change the pda to english without a CF card. Once again TIA for any reply.

Return the Ax for an English version, if it was Dell's mistake.

No need, i got a full refund, Dell wont accept it back and they say theres nothing i can do. My question was is it possible to replace the belgian rom/language files with an english one? and how?

Check this thread. I'm not 100% sure this will work but it's your best possibility. I haven't looked at the thread in detail but I think what you'll need to do is use the PPC02 ROM A04 version (if you have the 400MHz X5, use the A03 if you have the basic) since there isn't a downloadable version of WM03.

Maybe you can try downloading the english ROM update.
