ActiveSync issue
I am a new Axim 5X user and have a question about the Activesync funtion. When I first sync my Axim each morning after starting up my computer, I am able to "explore" the files and programs with no trouble. If I remove the Axim from its cradle, however, adn then later re-sync it without re-booting the computer, the "explore" function does not work. When I hit "explore" I get the PDA icon but it shows no files or programs in the contents pane. Sorry if this is obtuse. But it is frustrating haveing to re-boot my computer just to use the explore function.

When this happens to me I just close the empty explorer window and re-explore the ppc from the ActiveSynch screen.

I am not at home right now and can't check. I thought I had the latest updates, but can't be sure 'til I get home. Was my problem an issue with earlier versions??

Try closing and restarting Activesync on the PC. I use Resync (google for it) to do that quickly. Sometimes the TCP/IP stack gets corrupted on disconnect and not fixed on reconnect, preventing exploring. Restarting A/S on the pc usually fixes it.

I have tried to re-explore from ActiveSync, but when I do that, the PDA folder looks empty. If I re-start the computer and re-sync the Axim, then the PDA folder shows all the files, removable storage, etc.

I have checked my version of Activesync at it is 3.7.1. I also used the resync program, but unfortunately I still get a blank PDA contents file. The Activesync icon is imbedded on my quickstart toolbar - could that be causing a problem?
