D-Pad Patch
Can anyone lead me to a link to the D-Pad patch that actually works. I've tried all I can find on this site and the links are not working.
Thanks!
Tony

I do what I can. :-) The BMW films are really cool to show non-ppc users what the AXIM is capable of. The golf game is also super.

Hey Geo,
I d/l'd your file and unziped it. What do I do with those 4
files??? Should I just copy and paste them onto my Axim.
I had tried a previous dpad fix called R55834. It installed
some files onto my c:\drive, then attempted to install on
my Axim. It said file was not supported.
Any help would be Appreciated:D

kidruiz,
take the AximX5 button fix.CAB that is on my website and copy it to your Axim. Once on the axim, click it once and it will install.
Don't copy the USB file if you are looking for the d-button fix.

Geo,
I wasn't sure what the patch would do, I hoped it would give me a 5 way D-pad and it did. Suggestion: You should give a short summary of all your downloads. I might want some of the other downloads, but I'm not sure what they are. I need to be led and have the water drank for me. Thanks for the patch.
Question: My device isn't keeping time or my brightness setting when I turn it on, any idea what it could be.
Thanks

D-PAD Return/Enter Key?
I'm just starting to get used to my Axim (though I've not even come close to mastering the handwriting recognition yet) and was wondering about the D-PAD.
How can I tell if I need the D-PAD patch? Is there a version check someplace? I ask because it seems that pressing straight down on the D-PAD "should" activate an ENTER button (similar to pressing in on the scroll lever). Is it supposed to and mine just doesn't do it? Also, speaking of the scroll lever, is everyone else's hard to press in too?
Thanks!
P.S. Thanks also for that link to:

if you want the naviagator button to activate when depressed in the middle, and it currently doesn't, you need the patch.
Geo
ps, the scroll lever being a little hard to press in is normal.

GEO,
I went to your site and downloaded the BMW ambush and the player to see if I could actually DO this. How do I get the ambush on the MVP player? It is on my axim under FE it gives me a "Ambush is not a valid pocket pc application: notice. Can you help me with this?;)
I downloaded the dpad patch-thanks!!
Thanks for your help:D

Oh Geo, I forgot, I also had trouble with the golf game getting the same "this is not.....ppc application" thing. Any ideas? I thought if i put this on my Axim my husband could see just how "cool" this thing is. 'Course I might not get it back if he gets addicted to the game.
Thanks again:)
