notification error

After removing a trial prog from my x5 i get a notification error which i have to click on ok 3 times after sync with desktop pc.
"cannot execute \program files\tvgids\synconly.exe"
I have searched the registry but cant find any referal to this executable.

any ideas please

Try looking in \windows\startup to see if there is a shortcut link. If there is, just delete it and it should fix the problem.

These notification errors are something of a mystery - to me at least.

Pocket Mechanic has a "Notification Queue" feature which will list your notifications and allow you to delete any that you don't want.

I have 7 notifications, 2 shown as "Time-based" and 5 as "System event".

I don't know what they do but, as they are causing no errors, they are presumably necessary and I have not deleted any of them.

Can deftech,cageyjames or ikehiker shed any light on this obscure subject ?
