Without a third party app, this is the way Unka Bill decided that our PPCs should run.......and run........and run, until we jump through his hoops to
really shut them down.
The key is in those third party apps........IC Bar, WisBar and
GigaBar all offer Real Program Stopping Xes (or icon of your choice) that will stop all of Unka Bill's nonsense and free up your memory. Without one of the other apps, your Axim will sense when it needs more memory and will automatically shut down the "oldest" running program that you are not currently using, but that's only
when it decides it needs the memory. Most, however (like you and Me), would rather control this decision making ourselves.

They are all
FREE. I prefer
GigaBar because I've used it for four years. But I suppose each has it's benifits.
