pocket streets memory limits

does anyone know of a pocket streets work around for the limit of size one could download to their pda. The file size download is small for todays pads with lots of memory. It would save time in having to download lots of small files for a trip of about 1000 miles.
thank you,

I don't know if there's a work-around... the Max file size that I got to was around 4meg/ slice -- but that covered a great deal of Toronto and its surrounding cities with lots of details.

I don't think you would want to export a map with full detail spanning 1000+miles, cuz loading that 4 meg beast and trying to scroll around was not exactly blazing.

Maybe you could try exporting a low-detail map as a jpg or something... use that for general directions and then use pocket-streets for street-level detail.

Or perhaps someone on this forum with other map packages can help.

Cheers.
