Curious question - I have the 400mhz version - I noticed you can set processor speed, which is currently defaulted to auto. Should I leave it that way - or change it?
Auto is the best setting. It will set it to 400MHz when necessary, but stay at 200MHz when the CPU load warrants doing so. This translates into longer battery life with virtually no change in system performance.
Yep, I'd second that. Auto is generally the best choice. If you have the 400MHz with 2002 ROM A04 (or WM2003) you also have the Maximum Performance mode that turns on the 200MHz FSB giving more speed.

BATTERY LIFE IS ABOUT IT. I ONLY CHANGE IT WHEN I KNOW I WILL NEED THE ADD'L PROCESSOR SPEED.

I run mine at 400MGHZ/200fsb all day with no problems but then again I'm over the stage where i no longer just whip it out to watch people (drool/look at me funny/ or say is that one of those there Palm thingies?). HAHAHAHA find the speed you like and run it.
P.S. I don't like a machine telling me how fast i'm going to do something either.
I just leave mine set to max. I found that some times I could hang it up when it's set on auto, but then I ussually have it playing mp3 over a wifi connections while working on it.
