How To Install Cab Files To An Sd Or Cd Card
Does anyone know How?

I think you just navigate through AS to the SD card copy the file to the relevant folder and execute the file and it should install, I think that's how I did it, check out Gigi's guide to installing on the site this will give you the best guide to installing and how to do it.

I don't. I can always reinstall from the PC and if I'm away...oh well, I'd be SOL for a short while. No biggie.

I have some cab files stored on my cf card, just in case I need to do a hard reset and my restore wont work...

I just kept a copy on my desktop download folder and copied back into the x5 after a hard reset. That presumed that I would have access to my desktop, putting it on a card makes sense for a hard reset on the "road".
I never considered of having to do an unplanned hard reset since my X5 has been so darn reliable to date, only hard reset was mobile 2003 upgrade.
