ALAS!; Overclocking just doesnt work for me

I am very depressed that the formerly "cool" sounding overclocking programs out there dont work at all for me. I am a PROUD (yeah, that's right, PROUD!) X5 Advanced owner, and upon attempting to use XCPUScalar and SpeedStepper to speed up my programs, my axim froze right after I pressed the OK button.

I am indeed running WM03 A05 with a solid PXA255 processor. The entire unit is very new.

Why, then, can't my BELOVED (yeah, that's right, BELOVED) X5 Advanced be overclocked? Does anyone have a reason or suggestion? Any other, better overclocking programs out there?

(OH YEAH, I've tried 472mhz overclock with both SpeedStepper and XCPUScalar, and both, as I said, completely freeze on me the instant I press OK. Yes, I've tried soft AND hard resetting with the same results...)

you could try some of the other OC apps. Like .... damn forgot the name. It'll come to me. But there is a really popular one, that a lot of people use. Not sure if it's WM03 friendly though.

<EDIT>
Remembered it.... Pocket Hack Master.

I used it on my X5 for a bit then decided I didn't need to be OC'd
