Stupid default Axim Setting...

So, i set up my brand new shiny Axim on its charger at 4:00 and go to work. I get back at 11 and start setting up the hardware. It goes smoothly except for the fact that in order for setup to recognize the device, the Axim itself has to be on. Argh. Took me all of 2 minutes to figure out, but aggrivating. With 7 USB devices hooked up I thought that might be the problem first (if you must know, printer, gamepad, speakers, dig camera, card reader, scanner and the axim). So that goes smootly, I download a couple things I had already gotten for it and I'm in heaven.

So I leave it on the charger and start to reorganize outlook (i prev used outlook express) and then all of a sudden the axim turns on and syncs. Eh whatever, maybe I did something in Outlook or whatever. A few minutes pass and it does it AGAIN. Alright, now im ticked. So I think ah, outlook must be checking the mail and autosyncing. So I turn off the 10 minute mail check. Then a few minutes go by and it SYNCS again. So I finally decide to do the intelligent thing and look at the ActiveSync options on the Axim. Ah, theres the reason for syncing every 5 minutes. Who the hell needs to sync every 5 minutes. Stupid default setting.

But now I'm happy. I have a new toy!

I have it set at manual, that way I can just sync it when ever I want. Bytheway I can sync anywhere in my house now, and I do not have to have it hooked to the Comp Yippeee, Sorry I finally after 2 months, Finally got a wireless router, to replace my regular router. I hope the 802.11b waves don't cause brain damage
