Device ID

I am trying to register a software product I bought. However it is dependant upon my device ID I had when I purchased it.

This is the problem...

I have had to do at least 3 hard resets of my Axim. Each time it asks me for a device name when I try to sync up. However it will not allow me to keep the same ID I had...

Saying something like, that ID already exists.

Now I can't remember what my ID was when I bought the product.

First off.... how can I managme my product ID on my sync software. Can I see past IDs and delete them or or at least find out what they are so I can install my software?

Please help!

How can I see all of the Device IDs that are on my PC?

Just for the record, if you restore from the PC after a hard reset, you can re-establish the prior ID. I renamed my Axim and keep a backup stored on the PC, then after a hard reset, sign on as guest and restore everything including the old name.

User Name (ID)

I assume you are experiencing a similar problem I had recently. I purchased Everquest for the PocketPC from Handango and had to enter the registration key before the program would run. Everytime I entered the key, it wouldn't accept it. I finally searched around until I found a forum that stated that the User Name for the PPC had to match EXACTLY with the name used when purchasing the product (no extra spaces or characters). I had entered all of my information in the PPC using Transcriber. An option in Transcriber is the automatic appending of a space after each word (I think this is the default).

I went to the Owner Information in the Settings and checked, and sure enough, there was an extra space after my last name. I deleted the space and the software registered with no problem.
