Running Programs

I noticed that in the running programs tab there were alot of programs running. So I decided to stop all. Then I realized that after I opened more programs then 'closed' them they were still in the running programs list.
I'm sure this takes up memory and CPU power. Is there a way to when you close a program it actually closes?

Also, I received my Ax on Mon. and am still trying to feel it out after only using a palm. So thanks to everyone for all there input.

don't think so. there are programs like switcher bar or battery pack 2003 (which is what i use and highly recommend) that will let you easily kill the programs. you get used to killing them after a while... it does not bother me as much now as it used to. it's now automatic:)

Also Magic Button (which is free and found in the downloads section) can change the settings so it closes with the X.

I use the lastest version of Wisbar and it has a hold and close function that if you hold on the X it will close the program, but if you tap it minimizes.

Wisbar used to be in the downloads, but it disappeared.
