Deleting email

Hi,

Is there a way to clear emails from the "deleted items" folder without deleting those emails from the server itself?

The idea being that those emails are somewhat important to me, but not important enough to be stored in my Axim. I merely want to save the 2k space that each email item takes ..

I find that when I delete them from the "deleted items" folder and do a "send/recieve", all emails vanish from the server.

I check email via wireless.

Hope I'm understanding you correctly...

(instructions for Outlook XP, 2000 is similar)
In desktop Outlook, go to:
Tools,
(e-mail) Accounts...
View or change existing accounts,
Highlight your account and hit Change...
Click More Settings...
Advanced Tab,
uncheck "Remove from server when deleted from Deleted Items".

Outlook 2000, IIRC, lays this out a bit differently... just look for "Advanced" settings.

Thanks for your response. However, I'm referring to checking email via the Inbox on my Axim, Not outlook on my PC. I also don't sync emails between Axim and PC.
