Question Playing Movies

I have WMP9 on my X5. When I download movies from my digital camera or just clips from the net and sync to my CF card, I can not play them on my AX, what gives? I know it must some minor oversight, but I can't figure it out. Help Please.

window$ media player will only play videos in .wmv format. you can download the convertor for free from M$ website. make sure you get the most recent version though as it has a ton more features.

Yes, as stated above.

Check out PocketMVP. It plays other formats - and I have found that it plays MP3s across my wireless better than other programs.

Oh, and FREE too!

Where??

I went to Microsoft's site. I only saw WMP version 7.1. When I click properties on my current WMP on my AX it says I am running version 9.0 series.

I did not see any updates or anything for it. Maybe you could include the link. If I choose a different SW, like Pocket MVP, is there anyway reason why I would still need WMP 9? and how would I remove it?
Thanks

here is the link for windows media encoder 9. you need xp on your pc for this to work well. also, if you don't have a fair amount of memory you might want to close down all other programs when encoding. it will reduce any possible errors and decrease the time it takes to complete.
