All I've used so far (the PDA noob) are the Dell, but people talk about a texture that feels like paper; keeping dirt from getting behind the plastic, longevity, clarity, anti-reflection, ease of replacement, residue, and cost.
There may be room for taste here, plus sticking up for what you bought. YMMV
I ordered a Brando, so I'll throw in my .02 if & when.

Try turning the Dell protector around the wrong way ... shiny-side out ... and write on it.

I have seen reference to there already being a screen protector on the axim. I just got mine on the 2nd and from what i can tell i just don't see it. I had the piece of overlay plastic stuck on the screen when i got it out of the box but that is all i have seen. Someone had said to use a knife point in the corner to start the protector and you should be able to get it out. I simply refuse to try that of course. So is ther one there or not? And what about the Dell protectors? i did not see them when i ordered mine on Dec. 27th. Nor do i see them on the site now. Am I just missing them?

No, there is NOT a screen protector already on the Axim. I know a few people left the plastic overlay on until they got their screen protectors because they didn't want to take any chances on messing their screen up. I don't know about buying them from Dell. You could try calling them. I broke down and ordered the WriteShields. I really like them so far, and hope they last as long as they say they can.

I am presently using the WriteRights, but I received an email yesterday saying my WriteShields were on their way. Will report back on the difference between the two brands/types.

Yeah I would just like to say that I got my Dell screen protectors. The first thing I did was come here to figure out how to properly put them on. Well I followed Talador's guide on application. It worked,,,,, but when I went to place the protector down. Edges up. It seems that its like its wet underneath. It has made little circles or honeycomb if you will all over. Its like it needs to be squegged or something..... Seems really frustrating if I have a good looking color screen but I have to look thru this to see it. Plus ..... How many people have written or called dell to say how crappy it is for no instrutions or a shame to wipe your screen off with before applying the protector. 20 bucks .... this is the first thing I have not been happy with thus far from dell. Love the PDA though.
