Optimized website I'm developing

I've been working on a website for the past few months, and am nearing completion.

Most of it is "locked down" because it's still in development, but you can get the general gist of the site.

First, look at it with your PC browser at:
http://www.hsvauto.com/

Then, look at it with your PPC :D

I'm interested in knowing how the basic design works for you on your PPC. I still need to redo the login screen (among other stuff) but you will get a good idea of what the site is capable of even without a login.

The premise is that with a PPC with wireless Internet someone could log in, submit a vehicle to be listed, browse available vehicles while driving around looking at different ones, etc... At the very least with my wireless LAN at home I'll be able to administer the site from the comfort of my couch.

I spent about 3 hours today converting it to autosense a PPC browser and display a more appropriate output. There's really no sense to have a separate website for PPC. It makes me wonder why I can't just browse directly to www.msn.com or some such and get a PPC enhanced version.

Thanks!

I agonized for some time over making a "separate" site just for handheld devices, but it suddenly hit me that my code could use the same pages to detect the browser and feed a different theme.

Unfortunately I still don't have my AXIM's yet, so I was flying kind of blind based on the PC emulator.

Thanks but that's not necessary. Your screen confirmed to me that it's fitting as I see it in the emulator just fine.

It's even more impressive once you login, because the menu buttons extend down the entire left side instead of just stopping.

After seeing your screenshot I did go in and make the background red down the menu bar to the bottom... it compensates.

Awesome. I'm impressed.. I hope more web developers make their web pages Pocket IE compatable as well. Even the pictures look good in the PocketPC.
