display question

My Axim X5 (400) is about 1.5 yrs old. I noticed today that it has a narrow black strip around the perimeter of the color display. It is about 1/8th inch wide on one side and a little over 1/16th inch wide on the other 3 sides. There is no picture or color display visible in the black strip. Thus I lose surface area of display because of the black strip. Is this normal? Do all Axims have the strip? I seem to remember having color display clear out to the edges of the cut-out of the case. Maybe my display has always been this way, I just don't recall.

Does your Axim display have the black strip??

I've had my Axim X5 for a year now, and i've just noticed this strip too. I think it has always been there, we just haven't noticed because in the beginning we were just looking at the amazing screen.
