video playback

Ok got everything working except video *.mpeg or *.mpg anyone help does windows media in pocket pc support these formats?

also what is the difference between software when it supports arm or mipps ?

Oh and what is the best method for transfering info like contacts etc.. from palm to pocket PC

You need another media player to play mpg files, I suggest Pocket TV but other ppl use other ones as well.

Mips CPUs are slower and older

SH3 CPUs are even slower and even older

ARM CPUs are newer and compatable with our X-Scale processors, most of what you download must be ARM since there not many X-Scale only apps.

X-Scale is the newest CPU and its phasing out ARM I heard ARM is basically dead and not goign to be made by Intel anymore so well see what happens.

If you do a search for the Windows media player encoder, get that and you can convert .avi's and .mpeg's/.mpg's to .wmv's.

They have special conversion rate's for ppcs, but i think the setting for the LAN delivery is about as good and makes smaller file sizes.
