PROGRAMS displayed in a "List View"

I am one of those guys that HATES large icons, and prefers being able to see files in a "List View", as opposed to seeing the LARGE icons.

When I click on START, Programs, (or settings for that matter), is there a way, (or a hack), that will allow me to view all of the files as mini icons (or even folders), INSTEAD of these HUGE icons that require scrolling and hunting to find what you are looking for?

PLEASE, somebody, tell me that there is a hack or setting that I can use to display PROGRAMS and SETTINGS in a "List View".

Pocket Facelift allows you to have cascading menus, so when you choose Programs, another menu pops up, and the same with games.

tdlaunch allows you to just place the icons on your Today screen and is free.
