Address Book vs Contacts

It appears that the information in Outlook Address Book for e-mail is different from Outlook Contacts information. I would like to synch the Address book in Outlook e-mail with the Axim, but ActiveSync does not give me an address book option, only a contacts option. Any way to do this?

You need to convert your address book to contacts. From outlook help.


Convert your Personal Address Book to a Contacts folder
On the File menu, click Import and Export.
In the Choose an action to perform list, click Import from another program or file, and then click Next.
In the Select file type to import from list, click Personal Address Book, and then click Next.
In the Select destination folder list, click Contacts, and then click Next.
Follow the rest of the steps in the wizard.


The only tedious part was sorting the contacts into catagories like business, personal, kids,....

I finally figured out what was happening. The address book information in "Inbox" is automatically put there from your Contacts list. BUT, it is only put there if you have entered an e-mail address for the contact. If you go back through your contact list and enter each e-mail address, those names (and e-mail addresses) will automatically show up in the inbox address book.
