Yes, indeed it has been a long time since I upgraded. But I do highly reccomend it. Here are a couple of the changes I remember.
In the Switcher Bar "Brightness settings" and "power settings" have been added.
Wi-Fi communication no longer requires fiddling with the drivers that came with your card. WM2003 does it all for you.
The volume can go significantly higher than it could in 2002, without any loss in quality. Also you can adjust the volume more finely, and the OS volume is seperate from the WMP volume.
About 50 of the add-ons you could download for 2002 and included in 2003, and have been smoothed down along the edges.
It is a heck of a lot more efficient in CPU and RAM usage. 2003 uses about 2MB less of Program memory, and very rarely does it require for my CPU to go to 300Mhz while running only OS-built-in programs, even when all of the mare running simultaneously.
When you do a soft reset the OS adds a couple hundred things to its to-do list, so with every soft reset it becomes slower and slower. There was an app somebody linked to a while ago that deals with this problem. 2003SE should have this problem fixed, I hope.
Even with SE's arrival in a few months, I do beleive that it is worth the upgrade to 2003 from 2002. And I don't know if you can upgrade from 2002 to 2003SE directly anyways.
Edit: whoops, I thought you were asking about the OS. Anywayss, due to the above, everything works much better in WMP. hope this helps.
