Heh,Thanks for the replys guyz...Well...I have a device called the N-Gage (From Nokia) and I have to say that its quite good. But,there is no support, all the games are boring, no functunal apps exist, and basicly, that makes a good device boring...
Sooooo.....I was thinking that I might go and buy a PPC...I saw the X5, It looks great, I know what Dell is all about but how can they sell such a great device for such a small amount of money??
I mean there MUST be some flaw or something like that, BUT as it seems, everyone likes it and thinks its a great piece of hardware!
So, do ya'll think its a good buy or should I look for something else instaid??(Or remain at my present state)

I love my x5 (400mhz) way more than I thought I would. I use it for GPS, Music, contacts, schedule. I'm alway looking for new things to do with it. 2 slots are a must have.
I originally wanted to upgrade my HP Jornada 548 with a HP 5550 but the price tag of £500 was just to high, so I bought a Toshiba E540 for £380, What a terriable mistake, I had it for 2 months and sold it, So I thought I'd try my luck at the cheaper end and eventually descided on an X5 Adv. (the dual slots was the clincher)
I certinly will not be replacing my Dell X5 untill the following spec machine is released at sub £300 price tag
1. integrated BT & Wifi
2. VGA screen
3. Dual SDIO & CF card slots
4. 8Hrs Min Battery life
Maybe the new spec of an upgrade X5 (here's hoping Dell are watching)

I'm completely satisfied with my X5. Its been reasonably reliable, stable and functional. If I had had the spare money I might have bought an IPAQ instead, but for the price of an X5 its awful hard to justify the extra.
It's good to see someone that is actually satisfied with the PDA. I've had mine for just about a year and I thought I had one of the rares X5's ever made! It just works and does what I want it to do. I have the Truemobile WIFI card and I'm happy with that, I also have the Pharos GPS and for the most part I'm happy with that also.
I did have problem early with my 256mg Sandisk card but after reformating it, it has seemed to have stablized and has not given me any additional problems.
The only thing that I would have liked to have seen in the X5 is for the SD slot to have been an SDIO slot.
It sounds like the N-guage is missing a lot of the flexibility that makes a PPC such a great device. One of the reasons I went with PPC over Palm was for that flexibility which I perceived as being greater in the PPC. That may have been partly because of the inability of Palm to multi-task at the time (if that's not out yet I've heard that it's coming.) In any event I bought the PPC and have never regretted it.
The only thing I DO regret is that my first was a Toshiba 740. It had MAJOR battery life issues (to me anyway) and was frequently buggy. After switching to the X5 I was more than happy with what I have to consider outstanding battery life and the X5 has been much more stable than the Toshiba (and for less $$...go figure!) Actually in the time since, I have heard that the 740 in particular had some major issues and was poorly supported by Toshiba, and I think subsequent models have been better, but I'm very satisfied with the X5. It does everything I want it to do, and does them well as far as I'm concerned.
I agree with jb2001 in that I don't see myself replacing the X5 until there are several advancements in specs as are listed in jb's post.
A friend of mine just bought a PPC and asked my advice before he purchased one. It was before the X5 Advanced was available again. I recommended the HP 2215. He would have bought the X5 if he could have gotten it.
I love my X5 and the only thing that I would replace it with is a faster one with more internal memory, and wifi included. I need the two slots unless the device has all the hardware and memory you would ever need already built into it.
In a couple years I will probably be able to buy one with more internal memory, built-in wifi, and a higher resolution screen for around the same money as the X5 Advanced. There isn't another PPC out there that interests me at this point as long as the X5 Advanced is available.
I don't care about bluetooth. If I did then the HP 2215 would be my choice.
I love my X5! buuuuut, I received a toshiba e800 as a gift and I must say that it is indeed awesome. It has a slot for SD and CF plus built in wireless. comes with 128mb RAM. It is great. The price is steep but I think given what I know now, I would choose the Toshiba e800 over the X5. It is Great!
I've had mine since January 2003. I can't count the number of songs I've listened to, movies I've watched, games I've played, internet searching I've done, etc, etc, etc. Obviously I like it. Not sorry in the least that I bought it.
