I recommend you look at www.gpspassion.com. Lots of reviews and comparisons. Right now I think Mapopolis is the best on the market. I use it as a travelling consultant to find locations in other cities and the routing/re-routing algorithm is the fastest and most accurate I have found. I used to use it for driving directions, with voice, but that only works with a GPS, and now that I have the Axim, I have to wait for serial support to get that function back. In the meantime, it's teriffic for my uses.
It does have drawbacks. Long distance planning has been a challenge until recently, and the voice directions use terms like "Left turn in xxx Feet" or "Right turn in x tenths of a mile" but don't say the name of the street to turn onto. The screen shows it, but it would be nice to have voice confirmation so you wouldn't have to take your eyes off the road to look.
