Problems with file format - Please help!

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can help.
Hoping to receive my Axim this week. I use Intuit Quickbooks Pro 6 for work and was wondering what the best way to transfer some files to my new PDA. In Quickbooks I can convert the files i need to ASCII text. When I open these files in wordpad everything is OK, (Can I write to the Axim from wordpad?). When I open these files in Word 2000 the format has jumbled up the text. When I change the Word format in the view menu to 'Web Layout' everything is now OK again. What is the best way to transfer this file and Will the Axim software be able read it OK?
