Battery Pack (un)installation error

In keeping with installation instructions for upgrade, attempts to uninstall my previous version results in error:
"Uninstall unsuccessful, file in use..." and directs me to go to memory to stop all running programs. BUT when I go to SYSTEM>MEMORY>RUNNING PROGRAMS it shows none are running.

The files "running" are BattBar.dll, PgmBar.dll and Version.dll. (Attempts to just delete in File Explorer result in same error). Little help, please? Thanks in advance for your time....phillip

Make sure you disable the checkbox in Start->Settings->Today->Item.

Then do a soft reset, and then try (uninstall).

Yeah, tried that (uncheck & soft reset) too. Even deleted program/install file from my PC as well, with similar results. I have emailed Omega One twice with no response, so since my plan is to install SPB Pocket Plus, I emailed them to see if Pocket Plus will fix (and hopefully Battery Pack will not interfere with how it runs) the issue. Thanks a bunch for the prompt response, Mr Ding. Any other ideas are appreciated.....phillip

reinstall battery pack. before uninstall do two things - uncheck box for today plug-ins and in the battery bar options make sure you uncheck battery indicator. uninstall and should go bye-bye. hope this works. ;)

thanks but that's actually how this whole mess got started. The program won't let you install if it detects Battery Pack is currently running. And of course, I can't stop it.......

After UNinstall, go back into File Explorer and RENAME those three Files. Just add OLD immediately after .dll. This way you can go back and RErename them back, if you need to.

I ran into the same problem when updating Stocks & Weather, had one .dll that prevented the update and I couldn't delete it, but could rename it and therefore the update ignored it. I used Resco File Explorer, not sure if the OEM Explorer will work.......never used it.

Of course, you should do a Complete BackUp before attempting this, as you don't say if these particular files are directly related to Battery Pak, or not.
