A bit confused ... need support...

I just got an Axim5 ... and I also have a Clie NX70v. I working the Axim5 hard as to justify it's purchase.... what I'm looking for is a bit of help from all of you (Axim gurus)...

Why an Axim5 and not a Clie? I'm sure you have very strong and valid points to make ... and I'm looking to learn from your experience....

help...

I'm not so sure it's as straightforward as all that. The clie and the Ax are both great. I've got the Axim, I recommended the Clie to my dad. It's more a question of PPC over Palm OS. PPC just does more and does it better. Palm is pretty limited in what it can do. It's a really sophisticated rolodex. PPC is a really simple desktop. You've already bought them so you know the Axim is cheaper than the Sony but that's also an advantage.

If I'm not mistaken the Palm OS doesn't multitask. With the Axim you can listen to music in the background while switching between several applications, maybe a solitaire game while you keep notes in word, check your calendar and make a task etc.

My dad loves his Clie and there isn't a better PDA out there for what he uses it for (keeping track of his contacts and appointements.) I love my Axim. It's apples and oranges really.
