Cool AX is built like a Indy car

What a bad dream was my first thought I was at a hospitol and playing super mario 2 and some how dropped my Ax. Ok I stand 6'3 and the floor was hard linoleum over concrete as it fell I didnt even have time to react I simply heard a gut wrenching CRACK!!! and saw it splatter over a 2 foot diameter from impact. At first I thought I saw the screen pop out or somtn but as I picked up the pieces what I thought was my screen was actually my battery also my backup battery fell out. well with doubt that it would even turn on I reassembled the Ax and wa-Laa it turned right on, granted I lost all my data but had made a backup just days prior and it is back to the way it was. Honestly it doest have a sign of impact not even a scratch. I even shook it and can not hear anything it is tight just like new. My guess is that because it fell apart the way it did it only took very little of the impact. I just wanted to share this story with you all. I dont plan on putting it through the rigor that I have again. Nor, do I recomend this either. Point is that I doubt that this was part of its design and that this is probably some sort of an miracle. I am most fortunate to have my Ax for the remainder of its life

lucky, but ? analogy

Consider yourself lucky but I questiion your analogy. Indy cars pretty much shatter when they touch the wall and don't really go back together that easily!

It is not that it shattered like a Indy car but that it was not harmed like the driver in many cases but certainly not all is not harmed in an Indy car Race. Besides it is just that, an analogy is only an analogy...:D any way it is a good true story.:p

I think Sunami was referring to the fact that his Axim came apart and dissipated the force of the impact on the floor and kept the Axim from serious damage much like an Indy car comes apart on impact to protect the driver. I do agree he was very lucky that it didnt break. I read other posts where the Axims died for a lot less.
