activesync shutdown my network

my network works fine , its a very simple configuration between couple computers peer to peer, it works great but when a synchronize my axim x3 via usb ,i leave it connected on the cradle and after 45 minutes to 1 hour it turns off my network.My network works fine without the axim plugged and connected,it does the same problem in all the computers. i checked the service pack 4 for windows 2000, i tried the 3.7.1 version of activesync+ a hardreset-->it didnt solve the problem , i will apreciate anyhelp from you guys
