Can't Uncheck Start Menu Items

Trying to uncheck some Start Menu items, and they all give me an error, "You can't remove this item".

Why not?

I know I saw a fix or registry hack for this somewhere, but search doesn't find it.

Any help?

Thanks!

I'm not sure why you cannot remove them from the settings but another possibility is to delete the shortcut from the \Windows\Start Menu\ folder in a file explorer.

If you do this, you use 'cut' the shortcut and then make your way to the \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ folder to paste them. Otherwise, you'll lose the link and have to find the executable if you ever want to restore them.

Thanks, Ike. I'll give it a try.

I don't really need the doggone thing anyway. I was using cLaunch until a week ago, then installed Pocket Plus 2.0 and I'm using their launcher.

I just HATE the fact that the Start Menu just stopped working, and I can't figure out why!

Don't use it, but want to know why!!!

Thanks!
