Hmm Changing The Look of Home

Does anyone know how to change the look of the home screen? I'm not real fond of the bubble/raindrop/whatever-it-is look.

Thanks!

Thanks!
Tap in the top left corner to get your Start (Today) menu. Follow through all these: Start>Settings>Today . It should now be on a screen saying "Appearance" (bottom left). Tap on a different Today screen and then on "OK" and then "X". The new screen image will appear.

You can download and install many of these "Themes" once you're ready.

If you can change the bitmap under \windows\home.bmp, then you're set -- but methinks that it's stored in ROM (that's what resco told me)

Cheers.

Thanks for the help, but I want to change the "home" screen, not the today screen/theme. I thought that your suggestion would work (tried it earlier), but it only changes the menu bar colors and the today screen.
Thanks anyway.

Thanks, found it, but how to change it? Can I just d/l another .bmp and rename it home.bmp?

Also, ar you aware of how to change the Home icons (they still have bubbles).

Thanks!

Somehow the O/S knows to pull from updated files before it goes to ROM. I just created a new home.bmp and put it in the \Windows directory and it went in just fine. It didn't change the background surrounding the icons, though. To restore to the original, just delete home.bmp and the one in ROM is reasserted.

I guess you could find and edit/replace the icon bmps and replace them, too, if you really wanted to.
