Question about memory and version

Hello,

I'm new here... must say you have a nice place here :D
very informative and seems like nice dudes here

I took an SS of my system info ( see attached pic ) and I have 2 questions I hope you guys can help me with:

1. I have 32 MB of RAM and 32 of ROM, is there any way I can install more memory ? and if so how much does adding memory costs ? ( prefered in the New York area but anywhere in the states will do )

2. Im running WM 2003 and I see that my ROM version is A05
is it ok ? I saw people talking about ROM updates do I need to do one ?

there is this, but they are not doing X5s right now, and they were only doing X5 advanced, to begin with. you might want to install any programs you have to an SD card to maximize your available RAM. otherwise, think about upgrading.

As to your ROM version, you have the latest for the X5. most of the ROM upgrade buzz that has been going around was for the Axim X3i, which is a newer model and just released an upgrade.

and btw...

Welcome to Aximsite!

I also have an X5 300, but mine is a 2002. I use a 128 mg CF card to hold all my major programs, a couple of 128mg SD cards for music and games, and a 256 mg SD card for movies. The great thing about the X5 is you have that CF slot to put as much memory as you need. Enjoy!:D
