Dell Canada Shipping

FYI:

Ordered a 300mhz Axim December 23.
ETA was January 16.
Status, as of January 2, indicates the order
has shipped. There appears to be some
confusion at Dell. I hope this is not reflected
in the quality of the product.

You can not rely on the online status report. It gives you an idea where your unit is at but is not very accurate. My unit had an eta of dec 31 but got it dec 24. At one point it was stuck at getting ready to ship out but didn't move a bit for the next two days and then all of a sudden it said it was at Purolator Canada.
Check where it's at in the Shipped status. If it's at Purolator or UPS then you'll probably get it the next day.
The product is great. No complaints so far.

I saw the note for shipping detail and discovered that my unit is being shipped by Purolator. Followed the link and got the details on the shipping status. I then called Purolator and learned that my delivery could take place any time up to 5:00 PM. What that means is my Dell could be waiting for me when I get home.

I can't wait. I am so excited.

I did the same thing.
As soon as I saw my unit shipped to purolator I called them. I even tried to ask if I could just go and pick it up. But, they said it would be delivered the next day. Lucky for me, I only had to work half day cause an hour after I got home, Purolator came a knockin'.

I got mine in less than 24 hrs from when it was shipped from the factory.

Same here in Edmonton Canada it stalled in shipping for a few days then before i knew it, it was here. But they seemed to have forgotten all the Syn stuff I need so i am waiting for another shipment.No big deal because I am waiting for a new IBM think pad to arrive so the sync thing wasn't going to happen anyway.But so far I can say AXIM ROCKS:

hey i wanted to know if u say 24 hrs, like from time u ordered, like example i ordered mine sunday and i live in toronto, thier factory i think is in north york, so how long do u think it owuld be?

Judging by the date of the last post in this thread, I'd say about 5 years.

Depends on the item and availability. I assume you are not talking about an X5 since those are obsolete now. If you're talking about a system, they are usually shipped from Texas and take about a week. Smaller items may arrive as quickly as overnight.

BTW, welcome to the site!
