Proper Battery Use

I'm about to be getting an Axim, and I've heard great things about it's battery life. I was wondering however, if there was any "proper" way to use the battery. I know that to get maximum performance from some batteries, that it's necessary to drain the battery to a low level before recharging. Is this true with the Axim, or is it OK to plug it in whenever is convenient?

The lithium-ion battery in the Axim can/should be charged as much as possible. Leave it plugged in when not in use!

Battery life ... number of charge cycles ... is greatly reduced if you deep discharge the battery. Going from full to zero every time only gives something like 400 cycles. Going from full to 75% every time gives 10,000 cycles. Those may not be the exact numbers, but the difference is huge.
Use it as you need it, but never deep discharge if you don't have to, and charge as soon as possible for the longest battery life.

Mike,

Great definition of the way a Lithium Ion battery works, I couldn't have said it better myself! ;)

Serously though, that even clarified it a bit more for me! :)
