Lotus Notes & Outlook sync ?

Hello Axim fanatics,

I should have my Axim very soon and bought it mainly because I wanted to sync my Desktop at home with Outlook 2002 and my Lotus Notes contacts an e-mails from work (Lotus being the standard at work). Can It be sync at 2 different s place on the Axim like Home Contact and Work Contact with the same with e-mail? If yes, do I need any specific software? Thanks in advance for your help.

You can sync the Axim with two different computers, but only one with e-mail (and contacts?). The only problem is that you will have to buy 3rd party software to sync with Lotus Notes and it can be quite expensive. I am in the same boat as you (Outlook at home and Lotus Notes at work), so I started using Outlook at work as well (ask your network administrator for the proper information to access the mail server through Outlook). I can use outlook for everything except for sending e-mail to the outside world (i.e., I can receive e-mail from anyone and send e-mail to all within the network, but not outside the network). It's not that bad a solution.

Thanks Feyo. I will get in touch with my network adminitrator tomorrow morning and will let you know if it works. That means, I can synchronize all my contacts on Lotus Notes at work and the one on Outlook at home in the same contact list on my Axim even if I still use 2 differents contact list (home and work)?

Like I said, if you want to sync with Lotus Notes, you are going to have to buy software. If you use Outlook for both home and work and set up two different partnerships (one for each computer), you can sync contacts on both computers (but not e-mail). Essentially, you will be maintaining one contacts list between both computers because all contacts on your work machine will be synced to your home machine and vise versa. And, of coarse, your Axim will have all contacts as well.

If you decide that you want to buy the Lotus Note syncing software (do a search on this site and you will find good recommendations) instead of switching to Outlook on your work computer, I would assume you could maintain a full contacts list, but I'm not sure. Does anyone else know how this works?
