Axim 5 RAM upgrade

ppctec do not do Axim memory upgrades anymore. Do you know of anyone who does?

Nope, no one else does. And should some other firm decide to offer this type of upgrade you can be sure that this info would be posted here within minutes of that decision... ;)

Nobody is interested in making money ?

My X5 is an excellent machine and will be better if I can increase its RAM...

I called them back when they stopped doing the upgrade. Apparently Dell kept changing the model of RAM they were using and it caused many problems with the upgrades, so PPCTech's just gave up...

Well if thats the case then I guess it's our loss...

If an upgrade is doable in the computers world ( and in any other tech area ) then it should be done...

Hope someone will pick the glove because there is a huge demand for that.

I Agree!

I had emailed PPCtechs about the memory upgrade..
the worst thing is guys I work with are getting IPAQ's on the Cheap, one guy got an IPAQ 36xx, cradle, li/on sleeve all for the low low low low price of $80!..

sure it's mips or an arm processor but hey, if they still can get 256 maybe even 512 on that thing!...<sigh>

I wish somebody would do an motherboard/cpu upgrade/mod for the X5. compared to the other designs, I love the fact I can run mmd/cf on the device simultaneoulsy..

just my .02 cents.
