X

Hey guys, I used to be in the same boat until i decided one day to just go for it, and i am very glad that i did. I sold my X5 including wifi and acc. to some lucky person on Ebay for $180 and ordered my x30 for $237. So for ~$60 i got WM2003se which i love. Video playback that is awesome with the ablilty to use a much higher bitrate. Gaming is good too. A brighter screen, Personally my x30 screen is much brighter, richer, and crisper than my X5 was. A 312 mhz processor that smokes the X5's 400mhz. Built in Wifi and Blutooth. A smaller form factor!! now this works two ways, sorta like Xbox contollers, The X5 fits hands better and is easy to hold, but the X30 is so much smaller, lighter, and easier to carry.

I guess what im trying to say is that for $60 i have a much stronger PDA that will tide me over until the prices of the VGA-PDA start to fall and software/hardware becomes more VGA oreinted.
Hope this helped
BJ:D

But even with all that the X30 might have, it's still missing the CF slot. For me, that means no sale. My X5 will do just fine until we see what else Dell comes up with.

that is most deffinitally true. I had not invested much into CF cards, Only Wifi and some Memory so it was easy to replace that with Builtin and SD. Im sure the X5 wlill do you just fine!:D

I kinda have to agree. X30 is awesome, however, I like the advantage of the Compact Flash slot (and a ffew investments made for it). So I kept the X5 which my wife love using compared to her old Toshiba e310 and I got (or rather, was provided from my job) a Toshiba e800 which I have to admit is a pretty cool device. Especially when it originally had WM2003 and Toshiba has a link to upgrade it to WM2k3 SE for free.

But then again, the CF slot will probably be obsolete soon like certain drive bays (i.e. Floppy drives. Remember 5 1/4" or even 8")

So far Dell is getting on the ball with the PDAs. We shall see what come up next. x50i? Who knows?

Well said m8 ! my very own sentiments...

I'm going as far as the X5 goes till DELL will come to their senses and provide us with a dual slot-CF transceiver PDA with reasonable price ( up to $ 300 ) or until someone else does....:crooked:
