Hi,

How do I get AvantGo to work? I registered online and have an account but when i click Avango on the axim, never prompts me to login or anything. Can anyone explain how to setup my AvantGo. I even tried downloading the client from avantgo and installing it but would not install. Is avantgo supposed to be an application? And not necessarily just a web page? thanks

I'm having problems getting Avantgo to work. When I try to sync, it just says "autodetecting network settings" and seems hungup. Does this take a long time to do? Am I being impatient and just need to wait longer? I don't need an internet connection for the Axim - do I? This just loads a web page to the Axim. It seems like you figured it out.

have you went to avango's site and while sync'd find&click "configure" on the site....

"autodetecting network settings" is the kind of message you'd get if avantgo is having trouble connecting to the internet. i'd suggest you check your connection settings. you do not need i'net to sync the ax to the pc but you do need it for avantgo

Your suggestion of configuring in the Avantgo website helped my first problem. My second problem was fixed by closing my antivirus software and/or ZoneAlarm firewall program. That tip I found on the Avantgo site.

Avantgo is pretty cool.

I can view all of the regular Syncable channels, but I cannot seem to view ANY of the Wireless Channels. I have already activated the service and all, but when I go to the link for Yahoo! Mail and all of the other Wireless Channels I get an error page. Does anyone else have this problem? TAKE NOTE: I am not talking about the MAIN channels that you change by syncing, I am talking about the so-called purely wireless channels such as:
CNN, Expedia To Go, MapBlast! Wireless, The Weather Channel - Wireless, TheDeal.com, and Yahoo! Mail. Please advise if you got these to work properly.
