How can I view photos from the SD card?

Well, I took the 128MB SD card from my JVC camcorder that has bunch of still images on it. I was wondering how I can view those photos? Do I need to install some kind of software?
If so, can I download it?

Thanks.

There's a pic viewer free on the Dell CD, in Business Apps. Resco.

click on the photo, internet explorer will open it by default. you don't need any special software to view pictures. your're pictures are jpg's?

I've never used IE for this purpose, so I wouldn't know how friendly it is. Do you have to use File Explorer to view each image? I think the thumb-nail view of all image files would help a lot ... unless you remember what DCNM0437 is off the top of your head.
Special software is ... special. And free.

The Resco pic viewer (the free one) has a slide show functions, zoom, pan, full screen, next image button, albums, and a screen cap application for taking stills from a video on the Axim or just the Today screen.
It's worth the time to load.

Thank you guys.

However, I was still not able to do that. I just got my Dell yesterday and I am anxious to use it as much as possible. However, in the manual there is not much info about usting SD cards.
So I guess first thing first:
1. How do I access SD card from application? Can I just like in windows open application and then choose what file to open within the application? Or on the other hand how can I open the SD card (just like C drive or A drive on computer) and see what is on it and open the file that I want.
2. How can I load software on an SD card instead of internal Axim memory?

Thanks for your patience, this is my first Hand Held ever.

How do I access SD card from application?
First you need an application. If we're talking about images, you should install the picture viewer from the dell CD. Let me know if you need help with this.
Applications behave differently in where they look for files to offer you to open. Some will find all local content, others will only look in the My Documents folder. Resco pic viewer has a button for Browse Folder, which shows the memory cards you have installed. If there are sub-folders, there will be a plus sign to expand the list. Navigate to the folder which contains images and tap on it. The view will change to the image viewer, with right and left pointing arrows at the bottom of the screen. Tapping the right arrow loads the next image, tapping the left arrow loads the last image viewed (when available). Double tapping the image removes the frames and shows it full screen (or tapping on the four-way arrow icon on the menu bar). Double tapping again returns to previous view. This is the best way to view all images in a folder in sequence.
Down on the bottom menu bar is an icon that looks like a square with three small square dots at the top. Tap on it to change to thumbnail view of all images in the folder. Tap on a thumbnail to load it full size. Use the magnifying glass to zoom in or out, and tap-n-drag to move the image around to see other parts of it (when it's zoomed bigger than the display)

You can always use File Explorer to navigate to the SD card and open the file, starting the associated application to do so. Until you have a pic viewer loaded and associated with image files, tapping on a jpg file will start P-IE. Other types may not be associated with anything.
File Explorer is in Start, Programs, File Explorer. When opened, you should see a bar at the top with "My Device", or the name of whatever folder you have open. If it says My Device, you will see the main folders ... Built-in Storage, My Documents, Program Files, SD Card, etc. Tap on SD Card and it will show the files and folders located there. Keep digging until you find the images. Tap on one of them and see what happens.

Allright, I got this photo viewing software off the CD and on the SD card. However, how do I put a short cut to this software on my home page?

I bought some software to get Today page shortcuts, called Battery Pack. There's a piece in the review section here. $10

There's another one called Launcher, which I think is donate-ware, and is much more basic.
