I saw a PPC program on ZDNet Downloads that will supposedly synch to Outlook Express. I haven't downloaded it, so I can't give you an evaluation. You can find it here
Program Description
SyncExpress is an ActiveSync service provider that allows you to synchronize Windows CE mobile devices with Microsoft Outlook Express. It synchronizes the address book with Pocket Outlook contacts; synchronizes the Outlook Express Inbox folder with Pocket Outlook Inbox; supports Outlook Express included in Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 5, 5.01, 5.5, 6); and is compatible with ActiveSync 3.0, 3.1, 3.5.

There's also the program "Intellisync" that is supposed to allow syncing with Outlook Express. Good luck...

I checked on the description for both Syncexpress and intellisync and it appears to me that it is for PPC's running Windows CE software, is this correct?

Yes. Should work fine with the Axim, though I haven't tried it. (Windows CE is what Pocket PC 2000 and 2002 run on top of)

According to the readme file in the SyncExpress it says it is only compatable with WindowsCE and a Pocket PC 2002 version is coming. So I deleted it from my desktop HD and did not sync it with my Axim. Although parts of it ended up on my Axim and of course I couldn't delete the files left behind so after hours of trying to delete I finally backed up the files I wanted to save on my SD card and did a hard reset and then uninstalled the ActiveSync program and reinstalled and started all over. When I went to restore my data from the SD card the files were there but the device was telling me the card was empty and no restore files existed. I allowed the device to backup this file with the default
name "default" which might have been my mistake. Anyhow, I think I would have been better off letting the SyncExpress program sync onto the device and then removed it. You live and learn.

Hey thanks James, my copy of Syncexpress is not called SyncExpress2002, and the page I got it off of didn't mention any of the info this one does. I will say that the readme file did state that a version for 2002 was coming. So.... I guess is came.... thanks again James for pointing it out to me.

Well I've installed the SyncExpress2002 and it works very well with Outlook Express. It will dupicate everything that you have entered into contacts files on Outlook. It will not how ever sync with both, once you have installed the software you will be stuck using Express. I like the simplicity of OE but the contact/address book is really lame. I like certain features of Outlook Contact list better. I haven't tried using any of the third party contact list programs with SyncExpress2002 but I don't think I will, I think at this moment I will uninstall SE2002 and go back to the way it was. But for those of you who do not have large client list and only have email address in your address book on OE, and perfer to use OE then by all means download SyncExpress2002 from this link http://www.syncdata.it/ or use the link from the above post by "cageyjames"
