Remember the Wireless Palm?

So, why can't I get the same type of wireless service that the old Palm had- you just had to flip up the arm and BOOM, you're connected, no matter where you were!

For me to get wireless I have to get a card and be at home (that is, if I had a wireless router, which I don't) or be at Starbucks! That just blows man.

I want wireless in my Car... or when I'm at work... or at the park...

You'd be surprised how many wireless networks are out there. I live in NY and it's pretty much everythwere I go. With a sniffer like WiNc, you'll find wifi networks and it'll tell you if it's WEP encrypted or not. And unlike Palm's wireless service, it's FREE!!!

To make your Axim work like those old Palm VII PDAs you need a CF card like this. Now those Palm VII never really could browse the internet, it was more like live avantgo sites. Anyway, this is a good card to do what you want.

I live in an urban area in Ohio... if I understand you correctly, I should be able to get on the intenet for free by picking up someone else's internet service they are on?! Wow, that can be unsecure - to say the least. Oh, until then, I am patiently expecting my 56K targus modem I won on Ebay.... oh well!
