Axim not Shutting Off problem

hi, right now my axim is having a problem, it will not shut down when i press the power button. nothing happens. everything done with the screen is fine, but when i press a button, none of them work (except the reset). ive done a soft reset many times and nothing new happens, i even used SideX2003 to try to shut it off but that wont work, so now it is stuck on, and i have plugged it into the charger so i dont lose my data, can anyone help?

It won't shut down even using the SideX2003 "off button" feature?

Hmmm...hate to say it, but it might be "hard-reset" time.

Cool

I thought I had the same problem. Try pushing power button as if you were turning off other eletrical devise. Don't hold button for something to happen. Just push power button and release. Unit should turn off at that point. Try and respond

Hard reset means removing ALL power sources, and cards etc, both batteries, then doing a soft reset. That means all memory, save the ROM, is Kaput. I don't see how it's possible to be able to soft but not hard reset...

It doesn't sound like you have much choice.

Actually, 1 more thing...I can't see that it would effect it, but do you have a screen protector that slips under the Ax's frame? I know it can effect the screen input...I doubt it could efect button input but what the heck, try it...if not then.........

If the buttons won't function at all, and soft resets don't clear it
then a hard reset is the only other choice I can see. Since you can't even do a regular button-initiated hard reset just pull the batteries (both) and let the Ax sit for a minute.

If, after that, the buttons still don't work then the unit must be defective.
