You got a week further than we did! My wife's didn't start from the get go. We bought two, let the batteries charge overnight and then tried to turn 'em on. Mine worked. hers didn't.
Of course, then she got to suffer through 2.5 hours (mostly on hold) with the Dell customer nonservice department.
We did get the new one, but they never got us the information for returning the original junker.
I like my Axim, but will be reluctant to use Dell again after the poor service I have had to endure (there is much more to my story).

My brother was on the phone with Dell all day today with PC problems. They even sent someone to our house to replace his motherboard to see if that was the problem. Dell tends to have wonderful customer service. We all just need to remember that even though it is incredibly frustrating to us, it is Dell's first PDA, and alot of their CS people are not familiar with it, and the process of correcting or discovering problems on them. Just give them time, and I am sure they will have just as good customer service with their PDAs as they do with everything else.
