Can't get past align screen

Hi, all. I can't get past the align screen. After developing problems with screen navigation (Axim X5 not responding properly to screen taps), I performed a soft reset which did not resolve the problem. After performing a hard reset, I now cannot get past the align screen. The crosshair target responds to my screen taps and returns to the center of the screen, but taht is as far as I can go. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Same Problem

Happy Gobble Gobble Day everyone

I am having the exact same problem and was going to post a new thread but thought i would search first.
I cant get past the screen alignment either after performing a soft reset, and a hard reset. My x50v was not responding the way you would want it to, when tapping the screen.
Mine is only 3 DAYS OLD. It was working great the first 3 days and know this.

HELP , anyone have any ideas, do i have to ship this thing back in allready.

GOBBLE GOBBLE

Make sure you don't drag your fingers as you tap the screen. The alignment then sees two taps, can't figure it out. I've also seen a post where holding the stylus straight up and down works better than holding it like a pen, at an angle. The X50v screen is more sensitive to this factor than the X50, probably because of the increased screen resolution. Once the alignment is completed, the screen isn't so sensitive to your fingers.

I had this problem a while ago, and the only solution i found was to send it back. I got a new pocket pc out of it :). Its too bad i hadnt found aximsite by that point though, or i might have been able to find somethiing else...but i digress. I would try all these things, and if they dont work, call tech support. Just do what they tell you to, and if you are still under warranty, they will send you a new (ok, refurb, but good as new) one, hopefully. Hopefully you dont have to do that though...
